We’ve been putting the finishing touches to the Beyond the Veil Quick Start+ document and are now in full play-test mode! Whoop!

We’ll serialise deep-dives on each of the key mechanics in later posts, but we have updated approaches to:

* Investigation (it’s a narrative-led thing)

* Fear and Stress (you can actually lose your mind)

* Fighting (it’s messy, panicky, chaos)

* First Aid (there ain’t much of that)

* Dicing with Death! (big Bill & Ted vibes)

* Classless character generation (create literally anyone you can think of)

* Non-lethal options (you can kill everything or nothing, and progress equally through the game)

… and we’d love to talk to you.

There are various tables building their Investigators as we speak/type! So this is a good time for you to jump in too.

We have a mix of IRL tables (in Manchester, England), and digital ones on Discord.

The new Beyond the Veil Quick Start+ PDF will be out in the next month or so, and Email subscribers / Discord lurkers will get it for FREE.

But in the meantime, you could try out the game with us on Discord, and one of the Wrenegade crew will manage your table for you, allowing you to just enjoy playing the game without having to worry about learning the rules in advance.
