why wrenegade?
The tiny wren has a significant meaning to us. Alex and Paul’s late father used a wren as the logo for his carpentry business, while Dan’s firstborn is named Wren, affectionately nicknamed “Wrenegade”.
Those two family connections came together to inspire the name Wrenegade Studios.

Wrenegade Studios is an independent UK team of game-makers, storytellers and creators, run by Alex, Dan and Paul Thut, collectively known as the Brothers Thut.
We create original tabletop roleplaying games filled with strange stories, unexplained mysteries and worlds that invite you to look a little closer, supported by intuitive and flexible mechanics that keep the story moving.
Whether you are uncovering the impossible, sharing a ridiculous dice roll or simply gathering around the table, everything we make comes back to one thing: creating games that bring people together.
