2026 Priorities for Beyond the Veil

Spring has finally sprung and while we would have loved to have hibernated the Winter away, here at Wrenegade Studios we’ve been furiously working behind the scenes to prepare for the year ahead.

Scaling production, one story at a time

We stand by our desire to keep our game accessible and immersive. Releasing new investigations to the community not only gives us a chance to drip feed new concepts and mechanics in the build up to a full core release but it also helps us develop and expand upon the lore of the Beyond the Veil universe. But we appreciate that the pace of production so far has been severely limited by our need to produce high quality, production grade content which requires immersive art.

Our resident artist, Wrenegade Paul has done a great job to date, delivering key pieces for our existing content but one man versus hundreds of pages worth of stories is a very obvious bottleneck. We won’t stop writing, but instead we’ll start to provide early access ‘pre-release’ material to our community directly through our discord server. It won’t be pretty but it will do the job until we can catch up with our art needs and deliver the publishable version instead.

Want to get your hands on official investigations before anyone else? Head on over to discord and say hello.

No Uncertainty here…

Those who have followed our development over the past year may have been wondering what had happened to our plans for the first episode of The Endless Triangle Anthology, the starter module for introducing investigators to the world of the mysterious.

Well, at long last, we’ve been able to put the finishing touches to An Uncertain Mystery, and as promised above, we’ll be releasing it through our discord to put it through its paces while we continue our search for supporting artists to work alongside Wrenegade Paul.

To con, or not to con

We have loved every minute of the time we’ve spent showcasing Beyond the Veil at conventions up and down Britain, but to fully commit to our search for talented artists we have decided to scale back on unnecessary expenditure which will allow us to focus on a move towards a full release of the game.

We’ve made the difficult choice to give up our place at UKGE this year to focus on game development and increasing our ability to deliver content rather than spending so much time planning for events. That doesn’t mean that we don’t want to hear from our community though! We plan to host several online games over the coming months and ramping up our aim to deliver on our own actual play series.

In short, our priorities this year are simple: get Beyond the Veil into the hands of as many people as possible and share the ability to tell collaborative stories that bring us all together. It’s what this hobby was built upon and we plan to honour that vision at every table.

Uncover the Truth, Survive the Unknown.
