Beyond the Veil: Why We’re Moving Our Kickstarter Launch to 2026

For almost six years we have poured our hearts into building Beyond the Veil, our supernatural investigative TTRPG. Every rule and every piece of lore has been shaped to create an unforgettable experience where players sit at the forefront of the story, driving the narrative and unraveling the mysteries put before them by the Overseer.

We had originally planned to launch our Kickstarter on 1st October 2025, but after careful reflection, we have made the difficult decision to move the launch into early 2026.

Why? Because we want Beyond the Veil to succeed, and to do that we need your help.

The Numbers Matter

At the time of writing, our Kickstarter preview page has 264 followers. That number represents an amazing group of people who already believe in the project, but to realistically fund a campaign of this scale we need to reach at least 2000+ followers before launch. Those numbers are not arbitrary. They directly influence whether a campaign funds on day one or struggles to gain momentum.

Kickstarter is an ecosystem that rewards early success. The more people who click “Notify me on launch”, the stronger the launch day will be, and the more visible Beyond the Veil will become to a wider audience.

We could have launched in October as planned, but it would have been a gamble. After nearly six years of work, that is not a risk we are willing to take. Pushing the launch into 2026 gives us the time to grow our community and refine our game, ultimately giving the Beyond the Veil Kickstarter the best chance of success.
