UK Games Expo 2025 - What a weekend!

Well, that was amazing.

🤝 Thank you, to everyone we met at UK games Expo in 2025. 

Whether our friends in the industry, old and new, or the attendees and play testers; literally everyone was incredible company, truly showcasing the best qualities of this hobby we all love.

🙋‍♀️🙋🙋‍♂️ And there was a lot of you!

Did you know this was the biggest UK Games Expo ever?

There were 72,000 bodies in those halls, over the course of the weekend 🤯 which explains why we were so busy! 😀

🏠👶 Life. So much life.

One of the Brothers Thut moved house and had a wedding anniversary during the con. Then another moved house and decided that a new baby two weeks before the con was an excellent idea! 😵‍💫

With the kindness and understanding of our nearest and dearest, we all made it and even lasted the entire weekend, running all 22 of our offered playtests to a group of wonderfully engaged RPG fans.

🤓 And heck, did we learn some stuff.

The ability to gather live feedback and explore the mechanics of Beyond the Veil in new and interesting ways was a real golden opportunity for us as developers… little did we know that the teamwork aspect of our game would be the stand out selling point, yet more testament to that drive for collaborative storytelling and creating shared experiences with friends.

For all those who couldn’t make it, get a seat on a playtest table, or simply couldn’t find us amongst the sea of amazing vendors, here are some choice (zero context) quotes that highlight the fantastic weekend:

We also wanted to give a special shout out to Emzie whose playtest booking was the winner of our signed copy of the Prologue. The session with you and Lorna was a hoot, we loved how easily you adapted to the new system and immersed yourselves in the investigation!
